This is probably also true for 'Hero' (1992; $42 million production budget, $20 million box office), whose flop can hardly be blamed on Dustin Hoffman, Geena Davis, Andy Garcia and Chevy Chase. I think it's because too much attention was paid to a possibly intended message or morality.
