HippoHappy is a masked celebrity contestant on the second Vietnamese season of The Masked Singer Vietnam.
The last episode of this season surprised the audience when revealing that HippoHappy shares the same identity with Nàng Mây, the guest mascot from Season 1.
HippoHappy is a gray hippo with blue eyes, pink lipstick and a magenta flower decorated on the head. Her outfit features pink t-shirt, light grey pants, polka-dot purple jacket and green flats. Along with the outfit, she also wears multi-strand pearl necklaces and multi-strand gold bracelets.
: After the Round 2, her costume has been changed completely. She wears a ruffled dress which has floral patterns, as well as her coat with pink sleeves. She also wears multi-strand gold necklaces instead of the pearl one, having a jewelry headband on the top of her mask.
: After the Round 4, her costume is bedecked with a new coat, inspired by the elements of Little Red Riding Hood’s outfit and possibly traditional bride’s outfit in Vietnam. She wears a red a thick, sparkly red coat with the same color as the sleeves, alongside a large ribbon attached to the front of the coat. At the top of her mask is a chiffon headband decorated with flowers and jewels. Additionally, it shows that she still wears the same ruffled dress in the Round 3 and the Round 4, which has floral patterns and pale blue color.
: After the Round 5, her red coat is shortened, showing her ruffled dress which has floral patterns. Her large ribbon are also shown to located at the top of her mask, instead of in front of the coat.
Main PerformancesSing-Off PerformancesSpecial Performances•Lâm Bảo Ngọc suddenly became famous after covering the song Never Enough during the graduation report at the Military University of Culture and Arts, then she excellently be the Runner-up of The Voice of Vietnam Season 6 (2019). Her high-pitched, emotional and technical voice has conquered many audiences, the panelists also praised that this is one of the extremely rare voices in Vietnam and can be compared to Myra Trần. Coming to The Masked Singer after four years of depression treatment due to many uncertainties, Lâm Bảo Ngọc shared that she has healed and completed herself a lot. Choosing the word "Happy" in the mascot's name and expressing an extremely funny personality, are also the way of showing responsibility in her decision, and bringing joy to the audience. From now on, with the lessons and love received from everyone after this show, Lâm Bảo Ngọc believes that she will always move forward and never be afraid or sad anymore.
