There are plenty of sharp turns that even the most experienced riders will have to navigate carefully. Riders can stop at the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop in Leakey to take in the views and grab a bite to eat. This route had 231 fatal and incapacitating crashes between 2010 – 2022.
The Three Sisters comprise of Ranch Road 335, Ranch Road 336, and Ranch Road 337 all of them two-lane roads with some stretches of bumpy road. This route is full of twisties through Texas, so twisty that the Three Sisters are often referred to as the "Three Twisted Sisters". The ride will take under 4 hours in 132 miles (213 km).
Here's a link to a NHTSA.gov document that has data as of 2013 when the average age of fatality was 42. It hasn't increased by 20 years since 2013. so, right now, 2017, the average age is still low 40's. This doc has lots of good info esp. about BAC (blood-alcohol-concentration) of riders who die.
May 26, 2020 · Only experienced and smart cyclists should attempt the Twisted Sister. As of this writing (March 9, 2022) 13 people have lost their lives motorcycling RM 337. Passage through the Hill Country canyonlands, northwest of San Antonio can be treacherous and deceiving.
