   Apr 29, 2016 · To answer the first question: No you can not add another 2 speakers. Your AVR has 7 channels of amplification so can only power 7 speakers. What your system allows is that 2 of those channels can either power the rear surrounds or front heights but not both together.

   Mar 15, 2019 · As a owner of 3 Yamaha AVRs, I can tell you that straight takes multichannel inputs and puts out the equivalent channels as configured with the number of speakers configured in the AVR settings. 2 channel takes a multichannel inputs and down mixes it doen into 2 channels.
