Jan 21, 2021 · As I said, I started martial arts when I was nine years old. The traditional martial arts are taught with a lot of discipline, integrity, character, spirituality. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is taught more of a sport. For me, coming from a traditional martial arts standpoint, I incorporate all those things. In my class, we still bow, on and off the mat.
