Feb 16, 2013 · If anyone tried to download and run uTorrent as a non-administrator user on modern Windows OS-es that have UAC (User Account Control) they noticed that the UAC dialog appears asking for a password of an administrator. Here is how to "fix" that. The UAC is triggered by the install wizard, uTorrent "itself" runs fine without it.

May 29, 2018 · Posted May 29, 2018. I'm running uTorrent in a non-admin account on Windows 7 x64. Up until 3.5.3 build 44396, uTorrent was able to update fine but beginning with 3.5.3 build 44428, uTorrent seems to require admin privileges to update.
