The letter looks like it’s from a law firm and offers an “easy way” to get money using someone else’s life insurance policy. But it’s a scam.

Telling you to pay with a prepaid card is another sign of a scam. A legitimate debt collector has to send you a validation notice about your debt within five days after they first contact you. That's the law.
