Pressfield weaves the story so tightly and beautifully, tying the threads of history and fiction together to the point you don't know which is which. The characters are unforgettable, the book sings.

Even though the actors chew their scenes, and no one chews their scenes more than Gerard Butler, I find that funny and enjoyable.
