Feb 18, 2020 · I think Covenant was just trying to bridge that gap with a 'alien designer' narrative that avoids the pitfalls of just leaving the alien origin story open ended. This problem from A1&2 is what I think cause the unholy spawn of A4 where cloning was brought in as an explanation to get an alien in the story.
