Jun 14, 2012 · The third movie falls between the first and second. Madagascar 3 offers circus fun along with a bit of sensory overload in the form of 3-D visuals. It’s mostly an enjoyable watch, though not the kind of movie that sticks with you (but neither were the other two).

It is not often that an animated sequel comes along that is equal or better to its predecessors, but Madagascar 3 might just claim that accolade. Extremely funny throughout, with a good story and some significant character depth, this really is a very good family film.

In the skies of France, the plane's engines fail and the plane crashes into a suburban rail yard as the authorities close in. They come across a circus train and bang on it, desperately trying to get in. Gia, a jaguar (Jessica Chastain), sees the four zoo animals and Alex is smitten with her upon first sight of her.
