Mar 23, 2007 · Bobby is a sniper who has retired to the mountains after being screwed by the government in an event which finds his sidekick dead. After being set up, he is stone cold killer. Think Jason Bourne as someone who remembers his past is really p.o.'d about it.

Mark Wahlberg stars as Bob Lee Swagger, a government-trained sniper with a keen eye for accuracy and a long memory. Destroyed by the fact that the government left him behind in Ethiopia and by his best friend's death in a gun fight, Swagger has retired into the far reaches of the mountains.

The problem is Shooter isn’t nearly as good as the movie it copies so faithfully. While both movies require some level of belief suspension, I found myself really questioning the movie’s credibility. Little things like: Why is a three week graduate of the FBI the only one questioning the assassination scenario and manhunt?

Shooter, starring Mark Wahlberg is the story of a Black Ops sniper who is falsely accused of an assassination. Wahlberg plays Bob Lee Swagger, one of the top marksman in the world, who lives in a self-imposed exile after an operation in Africa goes badly.
