This is the type of beach that comes to mind when you imagine Hawaii. White sand, blue water, and, if you're willing to paddle, great snorkeling. Arrive early to guarantee parking; we got there around 9:15 and it was filling up. The beach gets crowded near the entrance but it thins out if you walk down a little bit.

Kailua Bay (not to be confused with the Kailua Bay on the Big Island of Hawaii) Bay features 2.5 miles of stunning beaches. There is also an accompanying small town named Kailua that is perfect to explore when you are ready for a break from the sand.
