Go to the city of Lansing website and you should find a fair bit of info — and I believe they link to a Lansing Crime Map that’s based on google maps. (If it’s not linked there you should be able to find one via google.)
Those "most dangerous cities" lists are pretty flawed. I studied crime and lived in Lansing for eleven years. The only time I felt unsafe is when we had a crackpot neighbor who barricaded himself in his house. The SWAT team came and took him away.

Assault in Michigan is defined as “an attempt to cause physical injury to another person”. Quote from the MSU website under “News”, “The suspects assaulted two victims, potentially selecting the victims because of the suspects’ sexual orientation bias.” Feelings were hurt yes but that wasn’t all of it from what I’m reading.
Hello Michiganders, I'm currently researching a few different cities to move to and Lansing is one of the main ones I'm researching. It seems promising on paper, but I wanted to ask what the actual residents thought. I currently live in Tempe, Arizona which is on the central-east side of the greater Phoenix area.
Aug 19, 2023 · Lansing has had some highly publicized violent incidents recently. However, they have mostly been situations between people who know each other, not random violence. The Junction is in East Lansing which is a mostly safe area.
These are the only 2 episodes I know specifically done on murders in Lansing does anyone else know of any crime tv series based in our hometown?
