Leadbetter Beach is a stunning south-facing beach located just west of the harbor in Santa Barbara. It’s right across the street from Santa Barbara City College so expect to see students here on sunny days. It’s an excellent wide sandy beach that is perfect for sunbathing.

Jun 26, 2022 · Leadbetter Beach is at the base of Santa Barbara City College and next to Santa Barbara Harbor. Drivers on Highway 101 North should take the Garden Street or Castillo Street exit. The beach is about 40 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara on foot; biking down State Street and turning west on the harbor bike path is the better option.
