York Station, a railway station in the North Yorkshire city of York, England, is located on the main east coast. Although the city of York is small, York Station is an important transportation hub because it is halfway between the railways of Edinburgh and London.
York station is located just to the west of the city centre, the ancient wall which circles the city is across the street from the station. The easiest route to the city centre is to turn left from the main entrance on to Queens Road, keeping the city wall on the right.
