This act requires that a person or public agency must provide a dig notice to MISS DIG 811 on intent to excavate, tunnel, discharge explosives, or demolish at least three business days, but not more than 14 calendar days, before commencing the activity.
Apr 10, 2023 · Call 811 at least three days before digging or fill out a request online at www.MISSDIG811.org. Trained workers from utility companies will be sent to job sites to mark the location of utilities with spray paint or flags.
Contact Miss Dig online, or by calling 811 or 1-800-482-7171 to request a Locate Ticket. As the requestor, you'll indicate the areas to be marked for your project and the date you will start digging. There is no cost to request a locate ticket.
