It seems likely that Mikkola could be the seventh or eighth defenseman for the Blues next season, as there are still moves to be made this summer. Jan 7, 2020 · Scouting Report. The late-blooming Finnish defenseman has enough mobility to play either side. Skates and moves the puck well for a tall defenseman but needs to continue improving his zone exits and puck management. Breaks up plays well with his active stick.
Scouting Report. Mikkola checks most of the boxes teams would want to find in a depth defenseman. He has size. He makes simple plays and doesn’t try to do too much. He can move well.
