Storyboard Text. It was transmitted to Europe in 1347, when a Eurasian army besieged the Genoese trading post of Kaffa in the Crimean Peninsula. The Black Plague originated in Central Asia.
In this activity, students create a 9-scene storyboard for an animated film. The film should be about a flea-ridden rat who helped to spread the Bubonic Plague into Europe during the 1300s. An example page and an easy step-by-step how to draw a basic cartoon rat printable are both included.

The rats got off the ship and carried the plague to Europe. The first deaths of the Black Death began to take place. People ran to try and escape the plague but they spread it further.
