Season 5 of One Tree Hill aired its first episode on January 8, 2008 on the CW network and ended on May 19, 2008 with the season finale. This season consists of 18 episodes, the second shortest season to date, due to the impact the writers' strike had on production.
Plots
The season chronicles the first year of the group's lives after returning to Tree Hill. Some of the key plot points are: •Lucas’ new relationship with Lindsey after he and Peyton have broken up during the time jump and the consequences brought on the three of them by the latter’s return to Tree Hill from LA; •Lucas and Peyton’s respective new careers as author and record label producer; •Brooke dealing with Victoria's influence over her company and the desire of becoming a mother; •Haley and Nathan trying to parent Jamie while their marriage becomes strained and the two have also to adjust their personal lives; •Mouth struggling to find his way into a career; •Dan being paroled and trying to make amends with his family.
