Percy William Kilbride [1] (July 16, 1888 – December 11, 1964) was an American character actor. He made a career of playing country "hicks," most memorably as Pa Kettle in the Ma and Pa Kettle series of feature films.

The late Richard Long played their adult son, and two white guys played Geoduck and Crowbar, the Indians who helped Pa with the chores. Well, Pa didn’t really do any chores. Kilbride died in 1964 at age 76 a few days after being hit by a car while walking. Main died in 1975 at age 85.
