Von pietistischem Arbeitseifer geradezu besessen, als Mensch öffentlichkeitsscheu und unleidlich bis zum Jähzorn, stirbt Philipp Jakob Manz fast vergessen 1936. Der „Schwäbische Merkur“ würdigt ihn als „führenden Industriearchitekten“. Begraben liegt er auf dem Stuttgarter Pragfriedhof.
Philipp Jakob Manz (1861–1936) was commissioned as the architect. He ran one of the largest German architectural offices for industrial buildings in Stuttgart and Vienna in the early twentieth century.
