Oct 27, 2022 · 70s - Finals Run. The Suns' franchise began in 1968 and it didn’t take long for them to start winning games. Under former ABA legend, Connie Walker, the team made the playoffs in their second season and fell just short of making it in their next two. In 1976 they made a surprise finals run under Paul Westphal, losing to the Celtics in 6 games.
