"Attack of the Sea Hag" is the first segment of the first episode of the first season of the animated series Popeye and Son. It originally aired on CBS on September 19, 1987.
Tank takes a driftwood mermaid Junior found on the beach, claiming it as his own for Bluto's boat party with the Mayor. However Junior must go off and save the day when the mermaid belongs to Popeye's old foe: A witch known as The Sea Hag.
Popeye's son Junior, after eating spinach, boards the ship and throws the hag her mermaid back. In the 1982 Nintendo arcade game Popeye , the Sea Hag appears on higher stages to throw bottles at Popeye, and her vulture Bernard attacks Popeye during the third stage.
