    Upon learning of a diagnosis, Blanca Rodriguez moves forward in establishing a house of her own and making a mark, much to her house mother Elektra Abundance's displeasure.     A young woman and newest entry to the stage of the New York City ballroom in 1982, Blanca Rodriguez tries her luck in walking a femme queen category. Looked upon by her idol Elektra Abundance, she walked and demanded her score from the judges. She encounters Elektra later, who comes to her defense against a small gathering of women, taking Blanca out for a meal and adopts her under her wing into the House of Abundance.

    In 1987, Elektra and her children hide inside the Museum of Fashion and Design, taking a liking to an exhibit with royal clothing. After closing, they gather the displayed clothing and accessories for their performance at the ball, escaping through a window at the entrance and avoiding the police trailing behind them. Geared and ready for the category, the House of Abundance enter the hall adourn with the fabrics and winning grand prize before the arrival of police officers to cuff and take them to jail for the theft.

    Elsewhere in Allentown the following day, the young man Damon Richards, an aspiring dancer, is confronted by his father for secretly enrolling in dance school and for the discovery of gay magazines in his room. Assaulted and dragged from the house, he is scolded by his mother for his sexuality before being disowned. Left on his own, he relocates out of town, moving to New York.

    Visiting a clinic, Blanca is informed that she is HIV-positive; determined to leave a mark of her own, she takes on a lease on a rundown apartment before being confronted by Elektra on her push to establish a new house, being kicked from House Abundance.

    To the Washington Square Park, Blanca encounters the dancer Damon performing his craft for pocket change. She invites him to join her new house and shows him a part of her life in ballroom before treating him to a meal. The two conversed about their dreams and Blanca's past that led to her being disowned for her identity. Before parting, she gives Damon her number if he chooses to change his mind in living with her.

    Angel, while seeking a new cilent, meets Stan Bowes, who sought her as a form of celebration for his new job at Trump Tower; the two settle in a motel room but leave themselves clothed on the bed as they spoke to one another before Angel is taken back to the Piers, sharing one kiss in his car.
