The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum has been preserving the railroad history of Western New York since 1971, but our roots go back to the founding of the Rochester Chapter NRHS in 1937. Rochester was once a busy railroad hub served by the New York Central, Pennsylvania Railroad, Lehigh Valley, Erie, and Baltimore & Ohio.
