Reginald Herbert Dixon, MBE, ARCM (16 October 1904 – 9 May 1985) was an English theatre organist who was primarily known for his position as organist at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool, a position he held from March 1930 until March 1970. He made and sold more recordings than any other organist before him, or since.

Born and educated in Wigan, Lancashire, John began playing the Organ at the age of eight. He always had a keen interest in the Wurlitzer from when he used to regularly visit the Ballroom as a child. John joined Blackpool Tower as one of the team of resident organists in 1987. He took up his position at the age of sixteen, straight from school.
The original Blackpool Tower Ballroom was a smaller pavilion which opened in August 1894. Its stage was on the south side of the room. The Ballroom floor measures 120 feet by 102 feet. It comprises 30,602 separate blocks of mahogany, oak and walnut. Phil Kelsall has played the organ at the Blackpool Tower since 1975.
