  2. Thoughts on S. Craig Zahler? I'm a fan of his films. They're usually 60-70% slow burn with great dialogue and capped off by pulpy, over the top violence that feels like a proper climax. For a director with very little output in full on films, his vision for them seems fully realized and showcases a distinctive style.

  5. Because Zahler makes movies on a budget, COVID insurance has priced them out of the market for now. Sonnier has said there is a 99% chance that Zahler will be back in the directors chair this year. He's a marketing hype man so who knows if that's accurate, but I hope!

  6. I like this guy, he has a unique voice for our times. A mixture of Tarantino, John Milius and Cormac McCarthy. Unfortunately, he is an acquired taste that seems unwilling to compromise. That's why it's difficult for him to find funding for his films. What I like about his films is that everyone has their own favourite of the three.
