The idea of seeing drugged-out '90s boy-toy Alonso Echanove in an AIDS-exploito junker gave me a certain icky schadenfreude... but I felt the clumsiness of evangelical propagandist Paco del Toro from this particular junker even before the credits had started, and that spoiled any mean-spirited fun I could have had.
