Apr 2, 2023 · WESTPORT — Coming off a run to the FCIAC title game and subsequent Class L title victory, the Staples High boys lacrosse team is looking forward to another run at a title or two this spring. In their season opener yesterday, the Wreckers whupped visiting Iona Prep of New York 10-5.

May 27, 2023 · WESTPORT — The Class L State Tournament bracket is set and Staples High’s boys lacrosse team earned the No. 2 seed behind Fairfield Prep. Staples went 12-4 during the regular slate and, after crushing St. Joseph of Trumbull 19-2 in the FCIAC Tournament quarterfinals, the Wreckers lost 9-5 to New Canaan in the semis.
