Season 1 was the first season of Fortnite: Battle Royale. It started on October 26, 2017 and concluded on December 13, 2017. It was the second shortest season in the game, lasting only 49 days.
XP Progression System
Unlike the following seasons, there was no Battle Pass. Instead, there was an XP progression system where you unlocked rewards to purchase by gaining XP in-game. This progression system, along with the Season Shop, was taken away with the introduction of the Battle Pass in Season 2. The Season Shop has not returned since Season 1.

Outfits, informally referred to as Skins, are Cosmetic Items introduced to Fortnite in Season 1. They can be used in every mode. Carbide and Omega were the first Outfits with styles. Deadfire was the first reactive Outfit.

- Reaper. You may think this is the John Wick skin at first glance, but it’s not. The Reaper and John Wick look astoundingly similar, but the key difference between them is when each skin was introduced.
- Zoey. Zoey is another Battle Pass character that was heavily used during their time in the spotlight. During Season 4, the Zoey Skin was actually used quite often in advertisements for the game.
- Dark Voyager. The Battle Passes from before Season 4 always have a reputation for holding a ton of now-rare skins. Dark Voyager was once a skin that almost everyone had, being in Season 4’s Battle Pass.
- Sparkle Specialist. Sparkle is one of the last skins you obtained as part of Season X’s Battle Pass, right before the Chapters were made known. It may not be a skin from Season 4 or prior, but it’s still relatively rare to see.
