Traveling with four trailers allowed Smiley and Stephen to make quick trips to personal appearances while allowing Dallas and at times Stephen's family to remain in a more desirable location. While coming into a new town, Smiley liked pulling the following joke:

He and his wife adopted four children: Stephen Burnette, Linda Burnette, Brian Burnette and Carolyn Burnette. Steven's daughter is Elizabeth Burnette.

Lester Alvin Burnett (March 18, 1911 – February 16, 1967), better known as Smiley Burnette, was an American country music performer and a comedic actor in Western films and on radio and TV, playing sidekick to Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and other B-movie cowboys. [1]
Stephen Burnette is the founder, CEO and president of Soul Fitness Ministries. He was born in Clearwater Florida in the mid 80’s, and grew up in Sandy Springs, GA as the middle child of five.
