Apr 19, 2023 · My Commander runs but within 5 minutes the temperature gauge pegs and I shut down. There is somewhat a small amount of coolant leaking after shut down but not excessive. My thought is the water distribution tube is shot and needs to be replaced. Is it possible to replace it without engine tear down? Since the connecting rod
May 5, 2016 · I thought I saw a picture of how to make a water distribution tube for a '38 Sharknose, but I can not find one doing a Google search. Is it in the club files? Any tricks on removing one?
Jun 20, 2021 · If it's overheating it is not because of lack of same. 1937 was the last year without a water distribution tube to direct the coolant internally. The condition of the baffles in the "water distribution plate" is critical to proper cooling.
Feb 24, 2022 · Water Distribution Tube. I'm attempting to remove the tube from a 356, probably for the first time in a long time. It's stuck really well. Other posts suggest working a thin metal strip along the edges to free it.
