    She was born on 19th December 1963 in Khushab that is a district in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. Currently, she still resides there with her family from where she also contests the Elections.

    She holds the degree of Master of Arts in Political Science that she attained from the University of Punjab.

    She got married to Malik Tahir Sarfraz who is likewise a Pakistani Politician and has functioned as a member of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2013 while her son Malik Muhammad Uzair Khan was elected as a member of the National Assembly in 2014 by-elections.
