Sunny Joe White, a ground-breaking program director and flamboyant disc jockey for WXKS-FM 107.9 (KISS 108) during its rise to prominence in the Boston radio market, was found dead late Saturday night in his downtown apartment, according to police. He was 42.

Sep 13, 1996 · Hundreds of mourners turned out Wednesday afternoon to remember Boston radio legend Sunny Joe White. The 42-year old veteran of WILD, WZOU, WVBF, and most notably WXKS-FM was found dead in his Boston apartment last weekend, apparently of a heart attack.
