Jun 7, 2024 · Saleh signed with UW in 1993 and played on the most iconic team in program history. Those Badgers, just three seasons removed from finishing 1-10, not only went 10-1-1 overall, they won a share of the Big Ten championship and knocked off favored UCLA in the Rose Bowl.
A First-Team All-Big Ten selection in 1995 and 1996. The program’s career leader in tackles for loss (58), tackles for loss yardage (283), quarterback sacks (33) and quarterback sacks yardage (227); also ranks in the single-season top-10 in these categories. Team captain in 1996.
The Hall of Fame inductees are recognized and honored for their exemplary athletic achievement and contributions made to the University of Wisconsin. The first induction ceremony for the 35 charter members of the Hall of Fame was held in the Spring of 1991.
While at Wisconsin, Tarek lettered in football for four years, and was made All-American in 1996, and selected as All-Big 10 in 1995 and 1996. He remains Wisconsin’s all-time leader in sacks and played on Wisconsin’s 1994 Rose Bowl team.
