The plot is thin at a couple of points and Santa Anna is made out to be a Bond villain but it's fine. It is well worth a trip to the video store. The Alamo. Starring: Billy Bob Thornton, Dennis Quaid, Jason Patric, Patrick Wilson, and Emilio Echevarria. 3 out of 5 Stars.
Our review: Parents say ( 6 ): Kids say ( 6 ): There is only one reason to see THE ALAMO, and it is Billy Bob Thornton. His portrayal of Davy Crockett is magnificently vibrant, fully imagined, and breathtakingly evocative of the essence of the American hero. The battle sequences are well staged, putting the audience in the center of the action.
