Jun 7, 2019 · This scripture is found in Psalm 119:105. This scripture was mentioned in a comment and I thought it would make a great lesson on it's own. There are so many lessons that could be used with this theme. It can be adapted to almost any age. There are plain printables included to create your own! So many ideas kept coming while I created this lesson.
(Light one candle on a candle stand of 4 or 5 and then turn out the lamp and the lights.) This candle puts forth just a little light, but any darkness that is near the candle disappears. Imagine this candle is God’s Word in your heart.

Jan 8, 2024 · 1. Letting our light shine is unavoidable. Committing to follow Jesus Christ means striving to live a life that stands in stark contrast to this world’s dominant cultures and values.
When Jesus told us we are the light of the world, He was giving us a picture of who we are supposed to be. We are to be Christians everywhere we go. We should act in such a way, that others see Jesus in us and because of what they see they glorify God. Our problem is that we see this picture Jesus has given us in modern terms.
