Alaska's Unemployment Insurance (UI) program is dedicated to providing unemployed workers fast and accurate payment of UI benefits. With the seasonal nature of much of the state’s workforce and Alaska’s vast remoteness, UI benefits serve not only to bridge the economic gap for the individual worker, but also as a stabilizing influence on local economies.
A: Any week in which you are eligible for benefits from a state or federal UI program, including PUA, you will also be eligible for the $300. The $300 will be in addition to the PUA payment. For information regarding this payment see the Q&A for Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC). This program ends June 19, 2021.

Beginning with the week ending (WE) January 2, 2021, FPUC will pay $300 per week to claimants who are eligible to receive at least $1 of benefits for the week under any state or federal Unemployment Insurance (UI) program, including PEUC.

The individual has been denied continued unemployment benefits because the individual refused to return to work or accept an offer of work at a worksite that, in either instance, is not in compliance with local, state, or national health and safety standards directly related to COVID-19.
Aug 24, 2020 · As part of the plan to get more unemployment insurance (UI) benefits to Alaskans, FEMA approved federal grant funding for the State of Alaska that will result in a $300 weekly increase on top of their regular unemployment benefits. “Alaskans have had to push through some very difficult times as part of COVID-19,” said Governor Mike Dunleavy.
