As the only German University of Excellence with national large-scale research facilities, we offer our students unprecedented teaching and learning conditions. The beginnings of KIT can be dated back to 1825. KIT’s present organizational structure results from the merger of Karlsruhe University (TH) and Karlsruhe Research Center in 2009.
In order to be able to study at a German university, you have to provide proof of a university entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung; HZB). For some countries a school-leaving certificate is directly recognized as a university entrance qualification in Germany.
