From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Wagon Train is an American Western television series that was produced by Revue Studios. The series was inspired by the 1950 John Ford film Wagon Master. It ran for eight seasons, with the first episode airing in the United States on September 18, 1957. and the final episode on May 2, 1965.
