    • Mimosa. The most famous brunch cocktail of all time doesn’t really need a recipe. The elegant combination of orange juice and sparkling wine has enlivened plenty of boozy brunches since it allegedly debuted in 1920s Paris.
    • Bloody Mary. From the Red Snapper to the Bloody Maria, this popular tomato juice cocktail has inspired countless riffs over the years. The original vodka version is the most famous, and while plenty of bottled Bloody Mary mixes exist, nothing beats the homemade thing.
    • French 75. Named for the 75-millimeter field gun that the French used during World War War I, this Prohibition-era cocktail combines gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup with three ounces of Champagne or other sparkling wine.
    • Aperol Spritz. Low-proof and easygoing, spritzes are ideal for afternoon drinking. This iconic version—a combination of Aperol, prosecco, and soda water—might be the most famous of them all, but you can easily swap in another liqueur to make a Campari Spritz, a Hugo Spritz, and so on.

    • Mint Grapefruit Mimosas. Mint grapefruit mimosas are wonderfully complex. They have plenty of sweetness from the sparkling wine and honey, but they’re also incredibly refreshing.
    • Kir Royale. If you’re looking for something you can whip up in five minutes or less, try this recipe for Kir Royale. All you’ll need is some Champagne and French berry liqueur (Chambord or crème de cassis).
    • Sangria Lemonade. Chances are, you’ve had a glass or two of fruity sangria in your time. And the same goes for zesty lemonade during the summer. But have you ever thought of putting the two together?
    • Frozen Mudslide. Want a frosty dessert after all that incredible food? How about this boozy mudslide? This drink may look like something a 6-year-old would order, but it packs one heck of a vodka punch.
    • Corpse Reviver No. 2. The Corpse Reviver No. 2 is a citrusy, spirit forward martini. The ingredient list includes freshly squeeze OJ, gin, Lillet, orange liqeuer, and some absinthe for good measure.
    • Espresso Martini. Making your own espresso martinis lets you control the sweetness (I skip the crème de cacao liqueur as I prefer a more bitter drink, and the coffee liqueur already adds plenty of sweetness).
    • Lavender Lemon Drop Martini. Lemon and lavender go together like two peas in a pod (and speaking of peas, this drink would be a phenomenal partner to our Boursin and Pea Dutch Baby).
    • Hemingway Daiquiri. When you hear "daiquiri" your brain might immediately go to the sticky-sweet blended drink, but the true daiquiri is a citrusy, balanced sipper loaded with grapefruit and lime juice, rum and a bit of cherry liqueur.
