The five regions are North, Northeast, Central-West, South, and Southeast. The North Region is the largest region in Brazil, accounting for 45.27% of the country's total area.

- North Region. The North region of Brazil is the largest in area, occupying a bit more than 45% of the national territory. It also has the largest biodiversity in the country, thanks to the Amazon Forest.
- Northeast Region. The first Portuguese that came to Brazil in 1500 first arrived in Bahia, in the Northeast of Brazil. Because of that, this is the oldest region to be colonized in the country.
- Central-West Region. The Central-West region is the least populated in Brazil, even though it has a great area. Its economy relies heavily on agriculture and livestock production.
- Southeast Region. The Southeast region is home to one of the largest megalopolises and the fourth largest city in the world. It is the richest of all regions of Brazil, responsible for approximately 60% of the GDP of the country.
- North. Formed by the states of Pará, Acre, Rondônia, Roraima, Amazonas, Tocantins and Amapá. It is located in the Amazon basin area, and the biggest forest in the world, the Amazon forest.
- Northeast. The Northeast region has about 30% of the country's population. It's divided in nine states, where are: Pernambuco, Paraíba, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas, Maranhão and Piauí.
- Central-West. The Central-West region in Brazil is formed by the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás and the Federal District. There you can find the country's capital, Brasília.
- Southeast. The Southeast region is Brazil's urban and financial center. Formed by the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, the region is largely invested in the manufacturing, metallurgical and food industries.
