     So, the key to the mistery here is that this is not quite Python code- rather, it is a source file meant to be transpiled with VOC - that will generate Java bytecode, which will be further processed to work as an Android application using the standard Android Api.

     As a transpiler, VOC relies on syntax which are valid Python, but it allows itself to take detours from the official language - like using keyword arguments on class definitions. That would only make sense in Python if it were inheriting a class which would implement the special method __init_subclass__, or use a custom metaclass to interpret these arguments - otherwise they'd have no effect. Also, VOC probably use these keywords (extends and implements) to indicate exactly these words as they are in Java class declaration syntax.

     Also, as you put it, the name OnClickListener as it is in there would fail with a NameError in normal Python - it is likely that VOC defines additional names that behave like builtin names. In ordinary Python, if you create a function/method definition instead of a class definition, it is possible to makeuse of non-imported or undefined names as annotations. That is android.view.View[OnClickListener] would follow : instead of =, in a function definition. Annotations are lazily evaluated in Python 3.7 (but not in Python 3.6), so it would not cause an error. As it is, though, it would just raise a NameError in normal Python.

     ax.plot() returns a tuple which contains only one element. If you assign it without the comma, you just assign the tuple.

     >>> t = (1,)>>> a = t>>> a(1,)

     But if you assign it with the comma, you unpack it.

     >>> t = (1,)>>> a, = t>>> a1

     If you check out the Python Enhancement Proposal (more commonly known as a PEP), you'll see that the cpN refers to the particular version of Python

     in gensim-0.12.4-cp27-none-win_amd64.whl you can break it apart:

     • 0.12.4 - package version, they may be using semantic versioning
     • cp27 - this package is for CPython. IronPython, Jython, or PyPy will probably be unhappy.
     • none - no feature of this package depends on the python Application Binary Interface, or ABI
     • win_amd64 - this has been compiled for 64-bit Windows. That means that it probably has some code written in C/C++
     • .whl - that means this is a wheel distribution. Which is handy, because it means if you're running CPython 2.7 64-bit on Windows, and assuming you have pip installed, all you have to do to get this package is run: py -2.7 -m pip install --use-wheel gensim (assuming that it's available on pypi, of course). You may need to py -2.7 -m pip install wheel first. But other than that, that should be all it takes.

     Your indentation is incorrect. The first four lines of the function should be dedented by four spaces as shown in my answer.
