3 days ago · The Mark Gordon Company, formerly known as The Meledandri/Gordon Company, is an American television and film production company founded by Mark Gordon and Chris Meledandri (the eventual founder of Illumination) in 1987. In 1991, Meledandri exited the company and it was renamed to the current name.
In 1987, film producers Mark Gordon and Chris Meledandri, the latter of whom would later go on to found Illumination Entertainment, formed The Meledandri/Gordon Company, with a non-exclusive deal with Paramount Pictures.
After the CBS and Viacom split was made official on December 31, 2005, beginning on January 17, 2006, the CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group and Paramount Domestic Television became part of the new semi-independent CBS Corporation.

Mark Richard Gordon (born October 10, 1956) is an American producer. He is a former president of the Producers Guild of America. In January 2018, Gordon was named president and chief content officer of film and television for Entertainment One, which had acquired his production company, The Mark Gordon Company.
