(house, back yard, neighborhood, town, city, state,country) I educate at home and found this book to be a great addition to resources for kids anywhere from 5yo-13.

However, while the Olien book would be appropriate for most preschoolers and kindergartners, this level of detail in this book makes it more appropriate for kids in second grade or older.

Aug 16, 2023 · Super helpful book for educators wanting to introduce mapmaking to their students. The examples are all from classroom activities, but I’ve been easily able to implement them in my homeschool, with a small group of kids aged 8-13.
