CLIMATE. The Climate of Northern Spain: A Guide to the Four Seasons. The northern regions of Spain, specifically Euskadi, Cantabria, Asturias, and Galicia, are known for their mild, oceanic climate. While each region has its own microclimate, they share many similarities in terms of temperature and rainfall.
Expect significant temperature differences between day and night and between seasons, as well as rain from October to December. Winters are relatively cold while summers are very hot, dry and cloudless, with temperatures ranging from 77°F 95°F during the day.
You can expect clear and hot summers in interior, but more moderate and cloudy summers along coast. Winters are quite often cloudy and cold in interior, but partly cloudy and cool along coast. In the northern part of the country there is oceanic climate, you can expect snow during winter.
