In December, the weather in North Spain is pretty wet and mild, and you won’t have to worry about snow unless you’re visiting mountain peaks. However, some regions and cities of northern Spain in December are definitely rainier than others, notably Galicia.

In July and August, San Sebastian and its surroundings record temperatures of around 30°C, ideal for swimming. However, for a visit to the interior of the north west, April, May and June are preferable. With the exception of mountainous areas, the rest of Spain is subject to a continental climate.
