Jimmie Lawrence Vaughan Jr. (born March 20, 1951) is an American blues rock guitarist and singer based in Austin, Texas. He is the older brother of the late Texas blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan.

He began to play with various bands in the Dallas area as a teenager and formed his first band, Blackbird, in 1971.
