Clem can be that person who breaks the shell to VIolet. If you choose to get along with her, she is the one who helps her get over that sealed state, the one who opens her to people again. Clem has been here before, and she is the perfect person to complete her and to help her.

There are several opportunities to talk to them and get to know them, even flirt with them. Two choices revolve around choosing between them, fishing with Violet/hunting with Louis and then appealing to either Violet or Louis.
All of Clem and Violet's romance scenes were underdeveloped, felt empty, rushed, and their is no build up of a romance. Louis actually has call backs from iconic scenes from the pervious 3 seasons. From Lee and little Clem's hug in season 1 episode 4.
Following the death of the original leader, Violet became the de-facto leader of the boarding school for a short while up until the attack on the school by a group of soldiers from the Delta where she is determinately replaced by Clementine. She is also a possible love interest for Clementine .
