  7. The Textones were a Southern California power pop/punk band formed in 1979 by Carla Olson and future Go-Go's bassist Kathy Valentine. The Textones released a few singles in the early 1980s for IRS records (one of which, penned by Valentine called "Vacation" would later be a hit for the Go-Go's when recorded in 1982).
